Hi, I’m H. Rainad Khan Rohan — a nuclear engineer with a deep curiosity for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the way technology shapes our future.
I graduated from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, where I focused on topics such as fast reactor design, nuclear waste transmutation, and computational reactor analysis using open-source tools like OpenMC. Currently, I’m pursuing a second master’s degree — this time in Computer Science — where I plan to explore the applications of Scientific Machine Learning (SciML) and quantum computing to some of the hardest problems in nuclear engineering.
But this newsletter won’t just be about code, models, and reactors.
In my free time, I read a lot of non-fiction — especially books on self-improvement, strategy, and focused living. I’m a big fan of thinkers like Robert Greene, Cal Newport, and Ryan Holiday, and often find surprising connections between their ideas and the work I do as an engineer and researcher.
What You Can Expect Here 🧠⚙️
This space is where I plan to:
Break down nuclear energy topics in a clear, accessible way
Share my thoughts on how AI/ML is transforming science and engineering
Reflect on books I’ve read and how they influence my mindset
Write honestly about life, learning, discipline, and personal growth
Whether you’re a student, an engineer, a researcher, or just curious about the future of technology and energy — welcome.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you’ll stick around as we explore what lies at the fast spectrum of innovation, thought, and personal evolution.
